I have a guppy breeding tank, and a guppy fry tank, both with no substrate. (I did have gravel but the fry fell into it!). So how do i clean the bottom glass?

Should i just syphon out the water with a hose, and syphon real close to the bottom glass and try to collect any waste? I can just use the gravel vac syphon, but remove the bigger plastic tube part (so its just hose).

How do others do it?

Thanks

I would just vaccuum the glass just as if you were vaccuuming substrate. It should be easier with glass because you can see the mess and waste.

yea just use a gravel vac. hold it a littl eabove the surface and bobs ya uncle

Biggest problem with a fry tank is sucking up fry. I use air line hose into a bucket to clean the bottom after wiping it with a paper towel. Keep your thumb over the end in the bucket to stop the suction if you get too close to any fry. I've sucked up more than a few, just suck them out of the bucket with a turkey baster & squirt them back into the tank.
