It's been a while since you posted this but, as no one replied, I figure it won't hurt to answer the question a little belatedly. Basicaly, yes, they are a lot like bettas but they can be a little trickier to get to spawn and, while they'll tolerate the cramped conditions often sued for betta breeding, you won't get very many successful spawns. Breeding paradisefish is kind of like breeding scaled-up versions of bettas. I don't know how familiar you are with betta breeding or how many tanks/what sizes you have at your disposal. If you can provide some more details, I may be able to explain things more specificaly.
