Because as far as I am aware food isn't available out of a little plastic pot daily in the wild, food comes along when it is available, so some days they go without and others not, feeding fish daily isn't a necessity, every few days is fine.

That is true in some cases but in others they eat whatever they might find and this is usually in small amounts at a time. Their digestive systems cannot handle a big load at once.

This stocking on the day you feed them you will probably need to feed them atleast 2 or even 3 times a day. You have 10 Cory's all scavenging fish thats what they normally do all day so its best to feed them atleast twice so that they all get fed, they dont have the biggest stomachs so they won't be eating much. Then you have the bigger scavenging fish the striped raphael catfish who has a big appetite and will suck up anything off the gravel bed. So you need to make sure they get to the sinking pellets before the Raphael swipes them first. My Raphael is a bit dumb, he comes out after all the food has been eaten by my other fish and then starts scavenging lol, so then I have to put more food in to make sure he's had a bit. I have floating pellets for my cichlids but then I also have sinking buts its also for my african congo cichlid who's a bottom dweller, but once he's finished the sinking he swims upto the top for the floating pellets lol.

haha my stripped rafael is the same, all the sinking algae wafers and pellets have been eaten by the time he comes out, i find t better to drop in a few pellets when its dark in the room, they are nocturnal after all

tbh my last one which is now 6-7 years old at least was outgoing during the day so he was able to get food. then again i got himwhen he was at least a year at the petstore so maybe he conformed lol
