If you had a 20H tank (US gal), what would you stock it with?
Assume it has a sand substrate, but plants, decor can be whatever.

I've changed the title and question now, bc I think I was confusing people with what I am looking for... sorry!

See next reply by me, please, at bottom.

That would look pretty, I bet. I have a few live plants and a lot of silk/plastic plants along with some driftwood and caves. The light fixture on the tank will only take 1 regular florescent bulb and I can't find one with enough watts to grow hardly any plants.
Right now I have a pair of kribs and a trio of cherry barbs. The problem I'm having though is that the kribs are actually out-producing my guppies! I now have 2 groups of babies - 1 batch that's about 8 weeks old and one that just started swimming around today. I don't know what to do... I had no idea they'd breed like this, and have so many that would survive, too! I love the kribs, but I can't keep them all obviously and I can't keep having more babies. I've thought about replacing them all together (hence the question I posted... hoping to get some ideas), but I don't know. I'd like to keep a few, but I can't sex the babies yet, and I don't know if 2 m or 2 fm would work.
What do you think?

you can tell the sex of kribs by testing the pH of your water. if its pH7 its neutral and you get male and female, if its alkaline (over 7) you get male and if its acidic (under 7) you get female. of cause if the pH is too close to call
then the gender ratios wont be strict

Just feed them birth control pills!!!!!!!!!!!!!      I crack myself up! No, but really, take the male out and put some more females in. Also, make sure you rearrange the tank so the female dosent get all territorial.

BC pills... you sound like my hubby! That's exactly what he said when I mentioned my "problem" to him. Of course, he knows nothing about fish, so I think he may have been half serious!
Do you think stocking a 20-gal with 2 fm kribs, a pair of blue rams and either a dwarf gourami, a pearl gourami or a trio of dwarf rainbowfish would work?
