yay i finally figured out how to post pics yay yay yay :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

if she is not eating and hiding, then i think yes she is holding :)

i think she either ate the eggs or spit the babies out because she is acting just like my other female now. im going to completely rebuild the tank in about 3 days so ill look for babies then. if i dont find any then ah well nothing gained nothing lost.

My female peacock's mouth gets very triangle shaped, like a pelican I guess is the best way to describe it. I wondered if mine was holding too then one day she was doing kind of a rolling motion with her mouth adjusting and a baby popped out! It was so exciting. Never saw any of them, I'm pretty sure they were eaten by other fish as soon as she spit them out. Ah well.

When their holding eggs it looks like they have a mouth full of food with the mouth and throat being puffed out all the time.
They will go upto 4 weeks with out eating, and quite often will be holding eggs again with in a week if you cant remove them to give them time for a little R & R.

Also u sure thats a yellow lab. look's more like a Pseudotropheus personalty

oh that picture that i posted was just for fun i recently figured out how to post pics  i found a baby cichlid in my aquarium this morning so i think she might have spit them out.
