I will explain later, right now I need to know how to reduce these levels.
Ammonia 0.5ppm
Nitrite 0ppm
Nitrate 40-60ppm
Size of tank: 15g
Will do an 80% water change now. Also added some Seachem Prime.
Amount of guppies: 7
2 Harlequin Rasboras.
Couple shrimp.
Tank has been partially cycled

It's easy - water changes every day or two, at maybe 30%, til it settles down. I doubt the substrate should be disturbed. Just keep the water cleaner, and be working patient.

If itā€™s a temporary tank and will never be cycled, I would say change the water some every day or every other day. Just keep an eye on the test results test the water daily, once or twice.

Wait 24H after a WC before testing...what kind of test kit are you using?
