I Have a well planted tank and know how to test for phospherous and nitrate and ph and kh and amonia and nitrite.

How do I know if I have too much or too little iron or pottasium in the tank.

What do the plants do / show if I have wrong Iron or Pottasium?

Do you have calibrated tests for Nitrate, phosphorus and KH? Or Lamotte or similar?

If not I think the readings will be highly inaccurate.

As Sam says look at the plants.

Within reason ther is no 'too much' potassium.

If you are dosing KNO3 Potassium Nitrate and KH2PO4 Potassium Phosphate then you are adding enough Potassium. A little more does not hurt but is not overly necessary. Most decent 'off the shelf' products (Seachem, Tropica etc) will have enough NPK.

A little picky Sam.

Seachem Flourish

Both Tropicas have K in them. Put NPK by accident but they do both have K

Sorry, didn't mean to come across picky, just wondered :) The N and P in flourish is tiny, so you'd probably need to supplement, unlike with TPN+
