How Do I Judge The Size Ultra Violet Sterilizer I Need For My 10 G Tan

I've found some of the sites explaining uv sterilizers hard to understand. Any tips on how to choose the right size for my tank and anyone have any input on ones to go for and ones to avoid (I'm trying to keep it under US$40-50. Thanks- Wendy

a 5watt UV would be more than ample for 10G.

Because it's perenially green and cloudy and nothing we've tried seems to help clear it!! Re size of uv sterilizer, I haven''t seen any lower than 8 or 9watts UV--suggest I find one...Thanks for the answer.
