How can I feed my platy fry when not home

Hi ok heres my problem I have to go out of town this weekend and I can'nt find anyone to feed my new fry they will be a week old on friday is there something out there I can use to feed them this weekend while Im away alot of help is needed cause I want my little fry to live.THANKS

Feed them before you go using whatever method you use.

Fry are wonderful scavengers. Are they released in the tank? I am pretty sure they will be okay for a few days without food. Mine are.

i'm sure they'll be alright without food for a couple of days i feed my fry every day but my sister only feeds hers once a week .most of the time anyway but she gives them quite alot

well they are in a 5 gallon tank alone so I guess I will feed them good b4 I leave and hope they are ok cause Im not gonna "just let them die"

You are sick suggesting that someone who obviously cares enough for these fry should let them die. If you meant it as a joke then it was a VERY bad joke. If you were serious then you shouldn't keep fish.

Sunnie-the fry will be OK without food for the weekend. Long term, if they aren't fed often they will be stunted but this is only a weekend. Chances are they will find food in the gravel anyways.

you can use an electronic dry food feeder it drops food every 5 hours or what ever time you set it for.

hey its just a joke i dont think they were being seriuos.

in a way i dont no why but i had a little giggle about it

i'm not nasty because i love my fry to bits some days i just sit and watch them swimming around.come on its just a joke.

what is the tablet of food called for fry? I saw the one for the older fish but not for the fry

Fry need two things- regular feeding and clean clean water. I would not overfeed in a 5 gal before leaving as you will likely foul the water which will do way more harm than starving will.

Hi,

I went away the other weekend, my fry were only a week old. They survived! I fed them just before I left on friday night, then as soon as I got home on Sunday aftenoon.
