I had a lovely betta. I’ve had him for a very long time. I’ve always had a deep love for fish and adore them, but after him, I just can’t t a bond with any other one. I got two fish and I just don’t care for them the same but I don’t neglect them. My first betta died from old age and I cried.

I loved everything about him and I had so many good memories revolving around him, he gave me so much joy, getting him was one of the happiest moments of my life. I love fish, I want as many as I can possibly own, but I don’t know how to care for them the same. It’s like after him they’re just fish, not able to feel much and not like a little baby. (I’m aware I sound crazy but marine life is my favorite interest, I love it all and I like animals)

Hi and welcome to the forum :)

LOL, you're in the right place for a crazy person. Most of the people here are nutters too :)

Nothing wrong with me. I'm completely sane, so am I, me too, don't forget about me. I'm here too, so am I.

Actually I think crazy is part of being a betta owner. According to another thread on here they have them walk their dogs and park their cars and all sorts. If they are to be believed you could take him out to dinner or perhaps a movie.

I don't own a betta so I can't really recommend that as it wouldn't work with my fish. What I do do though is sit and watch them every evening for about an hour before I go to bed. I don't have any problems with getting to sleep but I am sure a psychologist would confirm that my routine helps ;)

Yes, pretty much, sit with them, feed them, “play” with them! :)

(I would send a picture of my betta to you, but he is currently cleaning the staircase.)
