I plan on putting an overflow box on my tank and putting in a sump but unfortunately at the moment I'm too skint to do it. In the short term I have a bunch of acrylic and silicone sitting around so I thought about making a box to go on the inside of my tank to put cheato in. I'm not overly fused about using it as a filtration source but I would like it to increase the pod population for my scooter blenny.
I was thinking of putting on the side of the tank so would be 14inches wide and maybe 3inchs long and about 4 inches deep. Not overly big I know but do you think it would help the pod population enough to make it worth having an ugly box of cheato in the tank?

its going to be cheaper and easier just to build a stand next to the tank and put a fuge above it. Will work better as well as I wont be trying to work in a tiny little cupboard under the tank.
