First fish tank, first planted tank! :D

Can someone please confirm that the plants i have in both tanks are aquatic? Ive already taken 2 out coz apparently theyre not

What do you think? Ive got more plants coming this week, and a piece of bogwood for the main tank which needs to be soaked (can someone tell me how to do that?)

Look aquatic to me.
I'd switch off the air pump. It's driving off CO2 which the plants need. ;)

Oh really? What completely turn it off? So you cant have bubbles in a planted tank then?

Its a bit warm in the tank thats why its turned right up - plus the mollies love playing in the bubbles!

Warmer water doesn't hold as much oxygen, however your airpump isnt putting loads of oxygen into the tank. It's just driving off the CO2 via surface agitation.
With the the filter, aim for ripples on the surface of the water as this promotes good gas exchange.

It's not ideal. The lower the lighting, the more you can get away with it but why drive off the CO2 which your plants want? With CO2, in return the plants will produce oxygen for your fish.

looking good have a read of this cheap way of doing the ferts you dont have to be a chemist to do it aqua essentials sell it all cheaply .
