Any ideas what it is? I was filling my tank up with cold water then I switch to hot and suddenly its blowing out this sort of mist? I've never seen it before.

Yes mine does that it is just bubbles, if you notice it soon goes away, nothing to worry about, if your system is like mine it comes from the same place, runs through the boiler.

i cant rember but i think its sutn to do with the minerals and particles clumping together which is visible in the form of cloudy mist, which are then expelled from the water eventually. i think the fact that hot water expells its minerals and particles is why its recommended to use cold water and let it settle to room temp whenever possible, but thast whole thing could just be in my head from no where. i watched a whole =youtube video on youtube before and its turnt my brain into water!.. oh wait the brain is mostly water..... lol

When I'm doing a water change I have to run some hot along with the cold to get it to roughly the right temperature, my tap works if I turn it one way it is cold or the other way it runs hot so I set it in the middle there-abouts and it is something like my tanks.

Years ago the same thing happened to me. It turned out that my water heater needed to be flushed out. It was actually sediment that settled to the bottom of the tank was now flowing through the lines in my house. It was a rusty color in my case. Fortunately for me I caught it when filling a bucket instead of hosing directly into the tank. Not sure what would have happened then. Probably nothing good

Thanks,
