Horrible And Depressing Disaster

well i have had a few of my fish die from some sort of rotting disease(not finrot) so far the victims have been a female swordtail a neon and one of myfavourites one of my polka dot loaches i did a huge water change and changed the filter pad thingy i just hope that i have done enough also my adf is now looking weak and keeps getting stuck on its back i think the clockof death is ticking for it what a depressing time for my tank

Can you get the loaches and the adf out elsewhere?

If so, I'd treat the rest of the tank with salt, if not can you get the others out and give them a salt bath one by one?

well to be perfectly honest i am assuming it is a rot disease as my loach was fine in the morning before school but dead when i got home there was a hole in its side and it could of been eaten i suppose sorry for the dumb stuff and i have nowhere else i can piut the fish i think the adf is in a whole world of trouble but the rest of the fish seem fine

The ADf can cope long term in a 2 gallon (ie same size as a bucket) but short term you could put him in anything with fresh clean (treated) water, see if it perks him up.

What does the rotting look like? give us as much info as possible, such as what colour is it? does it have any growth on it? why do you say it isn't finrot? does it have bloody streaks in it?

the rotting was not coloured at all think its cleared up now sadly my adf has passed away last night

dont be so lazy and get off your a$$ and clean your tank. Then the will not get fin rot etc... if yoiu cant look after them you shouldnt have any fish...

He plainly stated in the 1st post that he did a major water change and changed the filter. I would be stumped too in his positiion. Don't know what to tell you jkrekord, but good luck.

EDIT: Maybe treating the whole tank with Maracyn (or something similar) for the next few days would be good.

jkrekord I wouldn't worry about stephen2825 judging from all his past "responses" (if you can call them that) he's just troublemaker waiting to get banned/suspended.
