Hey,

One of my platys is getting horny! Every time I look at the tank hes pursuing a female! Thing is hes only 4 months old so surely he cant be sexually mature? Can someone confirm this to me!

if you have a large amount of females to males then he will mature very quickly but males do tend to be alot more playful than females so he could also be practicing his chase

could be playful but its only him thats sexed so it could be that hes matured, but i doubt the females have matured

Livebearers will try to mate with anything. You should be more worried if they're not chasing females.
