I saw some hornwort online and I was wondering if the hornwort plant is good?
I heard it grows quickly and I was wondering what you guys think about its growth and prettyness?

I bought hornwort two weeks ago and it is growing like mad. I like it personally. Just if it happens to die, there will be tons of needle like leaves all over. But it is fairly hardy. You can look at my journal to see how much it grew in a week.

Well, I don't know how you could kill hornwort...lol...and I've killed many plants in m day. I had the 'needle like leaves' problem with camboba. But, as far as hornwort, it is great. You can float it, put it in the gravel, or have it wedged underneath something, all three scenarios within which it will thrive. The only problem with hortwort is that you'll have to cut it back from time to time, as it grows very fast. I like it in the rear corners of my tank. It gets dug up at times, but it looks just as good when it's floating or tucked under something. If the light it gets is very intense/direct, it will grow like crazy. That is why I keep it in partially shaded areas. If you keep it with loaches, as I have, you may as well consider it a floating plant...

can it grow more than one plant I guess clipping some off and then letting it grow

Well, it doesn't have roots so you can probably cut it anywhere and both pieces with grow more. So now you have two plants :) Mine turned into two big bushes and 5 small stalks.

Hornwort is a great fast growing plant. Undemanding too and yes if you snip it in half both bits will grow.

The only thing to be weary of is that excel will kill it or at least make it melt, which causes lots and lots of the needles to break off and float around the tank, which is a PITA. Other than that, its a great plant :)
