Hi i got some hornwort from the pet shop and it was healthy, Now after a day or to all its leave is disappearing and there is a big of fluffy green stuff on all the wormwort. Is this what is killing my plants?

Thank, Daniel

I doubt the algae is killing the hornwort. It could just be the plant adapting to your tank conditions. I've grown hornwort for years and found it to be tolerant of almost any conditions, impossible to kill.

Is it like flourescent green and disintegrating? This happened to my stuff when i put it from my old tank into the new 1. It will come back in about a week or so. As Sam said, its probably just acclimitising to your tank.

If not, then come to me in a week and send me £2.00 to paypal and i'll give you this weeks hornwart growth in my tank :D (i'm 2.1WPG and EI Fert, so its guaranteed to grow like no tomorrow)

Ok thanks i meant hornwort not wormwort  i have a big bucket full of it from the river witch is geting cleaned
