Oh....Have you just got panda corys in it cos that how many should be in it, or is it that you building it up ?? Not sure if mines now overstocked??
Lurv panda corys, saw them in the fish shop today, may get them next, if I can fit anymore in!!
I turned the light off at 9pm and I still had all of them, still getting picked on but not a severe as earlier on. We'll see how many are left in the morning.
They love it on there own so not bothered about adding anymore fish, havent enough plug sockets left for a quarantine tank anymore so don't want to risk wiping them out.
Have the neons got some hiding spaces they can escape to.
Yeah, but I've got plastic plants at the moment, I'm gonna change that for silk ones, no good at keeping real ones yet!!
I've got a couple of ferny types ones and a couple of pieces of Bogwood, aswell as the plastic ones!! So there are some places to hide but could be better.
How long have you been fish keeping, every topic I seem to look at you seem to have been and offered advice?? God that sound really rude, I'm just being friendly!!
Well, the update is my tetra is still alive, but seeming a little distant from the neons.
It doesn't seem to be swimming with them and prefers to hide?? Do neons and tetras get along as in, mix within the shoal? or will it be pineing for some more of it's own??
Poor ickle fing
Also my ph is 8.2 always has been, I think tetras and guppies prefer a little lower PH, how would I reduce it. My tap water has a PH of 7.2, not sure what's increasing it.
Well the ikle tetra either hides very well or it's been consumed!!
The neons are seeming happy, grouping together and eating, all glowy too
Been out and added to my little family, 3 panda corys they are gorgeous love 'em, and a small shoal of harlequins, pretty fish.
I seem to have all these fish but, still seem to have loads of space, I'm thinking of getting a couple of Bolivian Butterfly, someone mentioned them to me and they are lovely. Would you think I was overstocked after what I have put in and what I would like to get??
Don't add to many fish to soon, i've learnt to leave it months before adding any new fish to see that they stay healthy and the new fish havent fetched anything in with them, let the tank settle for a while.
Always best to have a quarantine tank.
I realise that, this is my max for the moment, not looking to put any more til after xmas. Like you say don't want to kill my whole tank off with a dodgy fish. I'm keeping a close eye on them and testing the water regularly.
