with livebearers just leave them to it..... they will breed in a dirty puddle if they had to :lol:
 
It can be almost as simple as Mattlee said. With pet shop mollies you need to be certain that you have relatively hard water, meaning high in mineral content. Other than that, any typical tropical or even sub-tropical water temperature will do fine. Feed the adults a food heavy in vegetable matter and provide lots of cover for the fry. If you do that little, you can end up with a birth tank that looks like this one.

I have got a huge clump of java moss in the tank.
this is what they will be fed-Flake food,Bloodworns,tetra algae wafers,cucumber(maybe others but not sure others).
