I bought a tank a few months ago, the hood is one of the crappy plastic ones I absolutely hate so how easy would it be to build a wooden hood(to allow lighting as well) - anyone have any plans etc I could have a look at? Or would it be just more worth my while having someone(where in the uk?) build it for me?
Also, the tank has a black ash stand but since redecorating the living room, it really needs to be changed to a more natural colour. I know paint & graining it is the easiest option but does black ash not have a sort of plastic protection? If so, easiest way around this?
