I have a male and female gourami. I was told they were blood red gourami, but i am unsure if this is true.
The male is golden brown with a blue fin and the female is a pale yellow with a darkerstripe along her side.
What are they?

Here is my honey gourami. Does it look like this?

He is the smaller gourami on top.

and again he is the one behind the big gourami.

Princess;
The one on the top of your pic certainly looks like a dwarf to me....
:dunno:
Edit; In addition.
Catfish, i'd say from your description that you do have a honey of some variation.
Like this one perchance?

Well when I bought it, I was told it was a honey... weird.

I have searched for them, and I actually found pics that look just like it. But they are labeled fire honey. I guess my lfs labeled wrong or something.

Princess is it similar to this pic? I may be wrong but if it is then its a dwarf, colouration on your dwarf/honeys anal fin has me convinced....

Nope just done some research (google) and fire reds are a colour morph of dwarves (colisa lalia) not honey (colisa chuna)....
Sorry!

Nope my fish has no resemblance! I have seen on aquabid someone selling them (Honeys), and they look just like mine. Also that is what my lfs said they were too. So I don't know!

I'm 100% its a dwarf colour morph, have you got a better pic?
Like i said, fire reds are a colour morph of colisa lalia not chuna....
Could you post the link to the aquabid pitch please....

the big one certainly looks like a gold gourami, i 'm pretty sure. I have one as well

Catfish, i'd say from your description that you do have a honey of some variation.
Red Sunset Gourami are one of the many colour morphs of colisa chuna A.K.A the Honey Gourami.....
Unless the common name applied is confused with colisa labiosa/thick lip gourami, often reffered to as Sunset Gourami.

 I hate common names.....
