Lost in my own idiosyncrasy...
Hey all! Just got a pair of really cute honey gouramis about 4 days ago, and here is my question, they don't seem to like anything i'm feeding them! they go right after the Flake and/or Bloodworms and/or Sinking Tabs, take a nibble then spit it out! they never seem to eat (at least when i'm around) BUT seem healthy and happy. They do like picking at my Mopani (?? the really dense dark brown wood) Wood. Any advice would be great!

thats weird mine gobble up the flakes and bloodworms, i have to give the other fish a seperate feedin bcause of them :D

It can be quite difficult to get fish eating sometimes, in the end, most fish will eat when they get hungry. However, there are a few ways to try get fish to feed.

1: As cody mentioned above, feed them your fish at seperate times.
2: Net the fish, and feed it while it's in the net (obviously the fish should be kept in water at all times). By being in the net, otherfish can't get to it's food.

There are other meathods, but these two seem to be the most popular.

Cody: do you have plans to buy another tank soon?

Your Bala sharks require a tank 10 times as big, and to be kept in groups of 3+. and the bichir, depending on which species, will require nothing below a 30 gallon. Also, if it's a Gold Gourami, and not a honey gourami, it will require nothing below a 20 gallon tank

Hopefully our fish wil begin eating soon Acrus :D

of course dog im gettin a 55 gallon and one of my friends will b givin me his 40 gallon i just have to figure out wut fish to put where :D

Thats great to hear, however, a bala sharks will still need an even bigger tank  why not try set up a 90? instead of a 55 and 40? that way you won't need to upgrade again :D

well first i have so lil money for tank that about all i can afford is a 55gal and a stand and 2nd great idea may b ill get both and sell them and have enuff money for a 100 :D
