I am a little concerned with one of my little honey gourami. "She" tends to sit near the bottom and guard her side of the tank. They eat a varied diet with frozen bloodworms as a treat. I have had them for about 2 weeks already and the larger one really never acclimated to the tank. I had checked out the LFS store on several occasions first, all appeared to be active, no dead fish, no "iffy" fish either- so I brought a pair home. The smaller of the two is really vibrant and active. The larger of the two swims around occasionally, eats and reacts to stimuli, such as being pestered by a shrimp or her tank mate.
Larger Gourami(1.25 inch)
Color- same as when purchased, slightly paler than tankmate
FIns-WNL
Gills-WNL
Body- WNL no lesions/parasites
Feces-abnormal IMO, thinner than I would expect.
Tank conditions 1pm today:
Temp- 75
Water- clear
Aerator-ok
Filter- ok
Light- ok
Obs- ghost shrimp- active, small gourami-BAR, large gourami-QAR on bottom left
Last water test: yesterday, last H2o change, 2 days ago.
NO3- 0ppm
NO2-0ppm
GH- 25ppm
KH-40ppm
pH-6.8
NH- looks between 0-.25ppm**
Not sure if it I need look into diseases or if my tank conditions are off. Of course I am worried that it may be DGD!! Any input/advice is appreciated!
