Seen worse
I see customers every day with fish in this situation and there is just nothing I can do, no ammount of advise changes these peoples opinions. Short of telling them they are evil fish murderers...
which some customers have said is how i made them feel! (whoops! I didnt say those words but she had 5 goldfish in a bowl and was deliberately lying to me!).
My local Indian restaurant serves the most amazing food, bst restaurant locally.. but i have always had issues with their fish tanks, they have one either side of the door about 1.5ft x 1ft x 2ft and have been malawis, marines (was horrendous!), rainbows, barbs and parrot cichlids...
Then they have a beautiful 4ft heavily planted tank that was purely an impressive rainbow fish tank! Now fully of manky little parrot cichlids...
Last but the worst by far...
Tank is about 3ft by 1.5ft by 2ft and contains:
2 x (breeding pair!) parrot cichlids (large adults!)
2 x tinfoil barbs (about 7-8")
2 x albino tinfoil barbs (about 7-8")
3 x clown loaches (4-5")
1 x pangasius (14")
2 x Jewel Cichlids (breeding pair)
4 x Pacu (8" or so)
1 x Common Plec (about 10")
and just to ice the cake... 1 x 12" Red Tail Catfish.
Bearing in mind this tank is around the 120-150L mark
All tanks are very well maintained, eheim filters, spotless to put everyone else to shame and for all of that... the fish are all healthy.. though the only reason in the last tank is that most of the fish have reached a point where they cant even turn around any more!
I told them how bad it really was... even offered to maintain all their tanks weekly for free! Offered that if they paid for livestock at discounted price, i would stock all their plants and rehome their current livestock...
No interest. We dont go their now, we used to celebrate 4 birthdays a year there plus a couple of other times a year as well for fun. They had a lot of money off us and now we not only dont go but recomend people dont go. Their fault.
