so, i woke up this morning, kinda sleepy and all and i look at my 50g frshwater community tank and,


all my fish commited sucide even the %#@$% plec!!!

took the cowards way out i guess....

Thats strange for all the fish to jump out, how many fish were there.
Have any chemicals gotten into the tank.
Was there enough aeration in the tank.

They jumped!? #### the plec too! whats going on in your tank! is the filter broken and shocking your fish by chance? I had it happen once, not fun when you stick your hand in to remove a dead fish *ZAPPP*

when i changed my fish over into there new tank my plec jumped, rather odd too see i must admit, rather ungainly? did your tank brake or something? i would go mental if that was my tank?

Sorry to hear about your fish!
What kind of fish where they all? Wilder asked did you have medicine in your tank? Great question that could have been causing your problem because I know a lot of copper will burn your plecos skin.

Bad water quality can cause fish to jump, if toxic chemicals got into the tank (room sprays/fresheners, deoderant, cleaning chemicals etc) then that could have made them jump out of the tank.

No they didnt jump.
No i didnt use any medications.
I was playing some 2pac cds the night before the this event happend so that might be it.
