Holiday For A Month? Fish Feeding?

ok i go on holidays from time to time, and when i do they are not short ones, usually between 2 weeks to 6 weeks. my question is, what do you do then? how do you feed your fish when on holiday? usually you have those 7 day feeders but what about holidays more than 7 days?
advice please

do you have anyone tthat could feed them for you? if its only 2 weeks just feed them live foods before you go and then leave them and they will be fine but i dont know what you could do for 6 weeks

no no-one will be at home, and the room will be dark...i have heard that fish can go 3 weeks without food. maybe i have to build something myself that could feed my fish for 2 months in total. i will have to see...are you sure there is no way to feed them for 6 weeks?

i dont think them feeder blocks are any good. are you sure you dont have anyone that could feed them like a neighbor

no...well i could give my tank to my neighbor who could take care of them, but what if they also go on holiday for a while...

i will ask the LFS tomorrow and see what they advise...otherwise i am stuck. i will have to see when the time comes, but i would like to prepare, and know in advance what i could do.

ive never used one of them so i wouldnt know if its anygood or not but its worth a try.

ok there are automatic fish feeders for up to 4 months on the internet. i will just have to order one as this is one of my only options...i should have checked earlier.

What about one of those co.s that maintain tanks for offices etc? Presumably your tank is fairly new as you haven't encountered this problem before? It'll want a water change during that time at least?

couldnt you get one of those atomatic feeders? and modify it to hold 6 weeks of food?

I've heard horror stories about auto feeders *shudder*

I'd see if your LFS could offer a maintenance service - maybe a weekly feed and water change? It'd cost but peace of mind is worth it.
