Holding Lab

I caught a couple of good pics of my holding lab and just thought I'd share, this one has already spit (and all the fry were eaten), but I have another one holding and ready to spit any day now, can't get any pics of her though, she sees me with the camera and runs. Hope you all enjoy.

your labs colours are so deep i cant wait till i find some around me how often do yours breed?

How do you sex labs. You have some setallar looking lab there, maybe next time.

i think the males have a white egg spot on their anal fins? not sure though.

The only reliable ways to sex yellow labs are to see a female holding or to vent them, egg spots don't mean anything, out of the 6 I have I'm only sure of the sex of two of them, the two females that have been holding, not sure yet which one is the male.

The pic of the female here spit about a week ago, and I have another one ready to spit any day, her poor mouth is so full she can't close it. I've had all the fish in this tank for around a year and a half now, and around 3 months ago they all started breeding like crazy.

nice pics i love the electric yellows, i have five of them they are only small at 5cm but they seem to be growing quick
