Hmpks Again

stunning fish again especially like the pattern on the salamander

COOL, its just ive never had a spawn grow out yet. i have 3 witht the small spawn of fighters and just tonight i got my mgctfemale and my mgpkmale with a perfect spaid tail to spawn. and my very fist spawn was vailtails. the colors just blended in really only a few solid colors.

Nice then if you want to spawn yur CT x HMPK then you'll get some combtail and some ugly bettas but if you do F2 and F3 and maybe F4 then you'll get some cool tails

Thats the plan. you dont think there will be and ctpk in F1 at all? is it possible?

Sorry to butt in, but I don't think so.

Your f1 would all be longfinned (shortfin genotype). Mostly combtails.

Then you get the best looking betta out of that spawn and back cross with the PK male at f2. You should get 50% PK and 50% longfin with better web reduction.

Then do an f3 and you should get what you want.

oh, i wish i had the money to get him! he could have a comfy little 2.5G tank in my room...

i think my other bettas might be jealous though. i would pamper and fret over a betta like that to no end!
