thing is, heat wise, my heater hasnt come on since it 1st heats up the water when doing a water change, the water temp remains constant

the mesh divider i have, looks like heat would be ok to travel from one side to the other, i think lol

seems i have a lot to consider if i am going to split my 4gallon in half

The mesh dividers will be fine Regards your heater, it probably comes on at night, especially if you have central heater running at your place.

yeah ive got a radiator in my room that runs at a really nice constant temp all day and night, which is all good lol

i think im going to deffo divide my 4gallon, i just hope dave doesnt mind having 2gallons and sharing his other half of the tank
