Hi all
Well i've cleaned the second hand 216litre tank, removed the moulded backing that was inside the tank, and all the silicone, the tank is ready to add gravel,
Now...
Today i bought a big bag of very small gravel, unfortunately they only had one bag,and at a squeeze it might just cover the tank, but i thought i could put a layer of my old gravel on the bottom ,which is bigger in size, then put the smaller gravel on top,i know it will eventually all mix up,but i shall do a sample mix to see what it looks like!
I obviously need to remove the gravel from my running 20 gal tank, but i don't want to remove the fish just yet until the water has settled in the newer tank after i put the gravel in and i need to get the external filter complete with cloned media up and running then i can add the fish..
My question is will it affect the tank/fish too much if i carefully removed all the gravel whilst they are still in there?
sorry for all these questions, but i want to get it right...
