Someone a while ago posted a thread asking if you've had any unexpected free hitchhikers from your lfs, well at last I have and not just one but two :yahoo: Not only that but it was an absolute miracle they survived

I saw a nice piece of wood in a tank I liked, asked the guy in the shop if it was for sale and it was, so for £18 i bought it. The guy took it out and put in a fish bag as it was obviously wet and stuck it on the counter I then continued to look round the shop for a good 20 Min's before driving home (another 10 Min's)

The bag was left on the side for a good hour while I had some lunch and watched Dresden files that I had sky+'ed. I finally took it out of the bag, and as it was already soaking in the lfs, I luckily put it straight into my tank without soaking it in hot water.

Imagine my surprise when two bristle nose catfish took flight in my still cycling empty tank..

They are now happily munching on some courgette in my boys tank. Are these the luckiest fish or what?

Hope they are ok though catfish can be tough.
Free fish can't beat that.

Just be careful if you take the wood out of the tank to clean at any point, mine's tried to make the opposite journey!
