I acquired 2 teeny tiny hitch hikers along with my shrimp (shrimp who have done an amazing clean up job, but still not quite as thorough as a nerite snail!)

So these little hitch hikers are about 4-5mm long, transparent with (relatively) large eyes. They are fairly brave, not being fussed by the danios - which must be the size of an ocean liner in comparison lol
They are eating tropical micro granules. They don't seem to school as they are often separate from each other (although they are identical).

Any ideas as to what they might be?

Oh no, and sorry I wasn't clear in my first post. Just re-read it and hadn't realised I was so vague
They are definitely fish, not some strange random critter - I just don't know what fish they are likely to end up being - I'm expecting them to probably be guppies, but have nothing to base that on.
I've no hope of taking a piccie - too small and transparent combined with a pants camera = bad fuzzy pics lol

problem is a lot of fish fry start life with bulgy eyes and fairly transparent bodies :)
I'd be tempted to think guppies too, as I'd imagine thats most likely, but I think you're going to have an interesting time of 'wait-and-see' :)

4-5mm and transparent sounds more likely to be egg-layer fry -e.g. cichlids etc. My guppy fry are always larger than 5mm and not really transparent (unless that depends on the parents colouration?) - whereas my convict fry are like teeny, transparent blobs of under 5mm with two, oversized black dots for eyes.

Oh well - it's very hard to say isn't it? Could be absolutely anything! Will be interesting to see what they grow into - that's if they don't get eaten by the larger fish in the tank before then.

Regards - Athena
