I had a golden algae eater that I think had parasites. He was very skinny. Before I could treat him, he died. He died yesterday morning. I didn't notice his body, but my brother said he was in there, turned over dead. He said he tried to scoop him up but he was late for school and had to leave it in there. Well, around 9 pm the same day, I looked for his body and it was no where to be found. I dug up the gravel, looked under the decorations and wood, but found nothing. No remains at all. What could have happened? I think my other algae eater ate his remains, but wouldn't he leave the bones, and wouldn't it take longer than 12 hours to completely consume his body? Where did it go? The list of my fish is in my profile. Please help, I need help asap so if it wasn't possible for him to be eaten in 12 hours, I can look for and get rid of the body before it poisons my tank. Thanks. :)

It doesnt take long at all for a dead fish to be eaten, but I would check under all the ornaments just to make sure.
My plec and angels can reduce a body to nothing in less than half an hour.

I would be a bit worried about the other fish catching the parasites if it had any.

Yeah, I'm worried about the parasites too. :( What kind of meds can I use to protect my fish from the parasites or kill them if my fish have gotten them?
