Ermmm...

Well first off, what size tank are they going to be in?

Edit: aww, i got beaten, haha

You will need a tank of about 30gallons.

A good tank that you could get would be a Juwel one, about 125 liters. This would come with all the equptment you need and as long as you do regualr water chages, be great for your goldfish!

100litre/ 20gallon tank **MINIMUM** - 10 gallon per goldfish
filter - internal (inside tank), External (outside tank, can fit more media in)
net - quite large
gravel siphon - when doing a 25% water change stick end in the gravel to remove waste
bucket - for water changes
air pump - to provide oxygen
plants - plastic/ silk good for creating hiding places, live for making your water clean of nitrates
filter media - most filters have foam sponges for large particles, carbon to remove pollutants, medication, fine, polyester pad pad for extra small particles

it would also be a good idea to get a hagen nutrafin mini master test kit to make sure you have a ph 8, ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate less than 50

if you have a tank already and are planning to move them staight away then try to use the gravel and as much water as possible to help cycle your tank unless you are placing the new one in a different position then let it cycle for 4 - 8 weeks

the tank esfa is talking about is the juwel rio 125:

Why don't we just move this to Coldwater. Not that we can't help you in Planted, as many of us, including myself, have kept goldfish, but Coldwater is where this really belongs. :good:

sorry about that am not quite 2 grips with the topics lol

I got mine for £120, but it was on special offer. That was with the stand. Look around your lfs, and wait for sales. :good:

Or you can get 2nd hand ones of ebay for next to nothing!

Hang on a minute, what variety/s of goldfish do you have? A 10 or even 30gallon is no where near large enough for some varieties of goldfish.
