Hi

has anyone in the UK had any luck in obtaining some Hikari fish food inparticularly the Cichlid variety, as I'm struggling to find a place that has it in stock, something to do with Japanese laws changed preventing availablity in other countries

If anyone knows of a place, please could they let me know

Many thanks

AS

there are plenty of places in Kent with it in stock.
the reason hikari became hard to find was some numpty in Brussels said that most of the ingredients were not EU approved and therfore the products couldn't be shipped to Europe.
Hikari and the numpty have now sorted out their differences and stocks are arriving again. obviously Hikari are now having a big task restocking the whole of Europe.
Be patient, it will reappear in your lfs.

Just before Christmas I ordered a whole selection from Birstall Garden Centre (www.birstall.com). They charged £3.95 postage but I really didn't mind as I simply cannot get any Hikari food here in London - and my fish just love and thrive on Hikari. So I made sure I have enough for a year at least now !

We struggle to get in South Essex. Most stores round here seem to be running out and are not restocking. I would suggest the internet such as the website above. Depending on which type of food you want you can sometimes get it on ebay.

This is a little off topic but just wanted to share since it's a Hikari fish food. Just got a 3 Hikari frezze dried Krill bottels and a Hikari Medium Cichlid Pellets large bag for $1 each. I'm stocked for another 6 months. (pet store is restocking) :)
