Hi, im Matt, been registered a few days now, been reading around a bit. Had some problems trying to post and reply in other forums- is this becuase i have to post here first? thought id post here and see if it made a difference.

I know its not really related to this forum, but has anyone got any good tips for getting good pics of fish, at the moment im blaming the camera rather than my photography skills! thanks.

Hi Matt welcome to the forums. The only advice I can give about photos is to keep your camera pointed down to avoid glare. I'm no camera buff.

I've heard that if you have a "macro" mode on your camera that it works better for taking pics.
It wasn't that you needed to post here to be able to post somewhere else. Some new members just have that problems when they join. If you still have problems you can read the pinned topic on this section that says something about having problems posting.

I have to say this site is incredible- I've probably learnt more in the last few days reading these pages than in the last few years I've been keeping fish-its great!
