Hi I am new to this forum, I am trying to upload a pic to try and identify a plant, however I can only find how to do it via url and the pic is just on my computer is there a way I can upload straight from my computer or do I have to upload it to a site first then use the URL.

Hi there Axie and welcome to our forum.
I use photobucket as a picture host. Once I have a picture there I simply use the IMG code that they provide to post the picture here. I go copy that IMG code and paste it right here as so much text. The end result looks like this, a picture I took of a juvenile harbor seal while I was at the beach in Oregon.

If you right click that image and look at the image properties you can see where it is stored and a bit about things like the pixel count in each direction and the file size.
