Oh, and BTW, Marine is not an upgrade, it's just a different path.

I agree with Minnt. Whilst marine is more difficult (many more requirements to juggle) there are many kinds of freshwater fish that are just as interesting and challenging to keep and breed as there are just s cool as Marine. Also, 48 liters is quite small for a mirine tank. Generally 20 gallons minimum is suggested for the beginner. Welcome to the forum and sorry to be critical.
