Hi

Got our firstfish tank last week, its a biorb 60L, plants are artifical, purchased 2 micky Mouse Platy today, they seem happy enough, hope they will survive. Any tips that anyone wantto give me will be helpful and appreciated. Oh we are going for a nice calm community tank.

Thanks

Hi and :hi: to the forum

You made a good choice with Platies, there great little fish aren't they :)

Just because i know someone else will ask if i don't, how long before you added the fish to the tank?

Lil

yes good question, it'd be nice if you could post a pic of the tank later so we can all see your fishies! Also do you have any test kits to test your water quality?

im beggining to see how popular the biorb range really is becoming, whether that bad or good though...

Hi All, we waited 3 days I am hoping now that we waited enough, info we read said 48 hrs, but sometimes the more you read the more mixed up you get as the info out there is so varied. we will be testing the water today. My nest question is now, if the platy survive ok. do we wait 28 days before we put the next lot in or not? and if we wait 28 days do we clean the water first before we put in the next lot or clean it after. We have read you can put in the next lot within 3days up to 28 days so we are a bit lost. Any replies are helpful. Thanks
