hi everyone i have been keeping fish for around 4 years.i am just starting a new freshwater tank which is a juwel rio 180 with a fluval 305 external filter
currently cycling atm with some prawns.going well so far.
its been going for 6 days
my water test results so far ( i like too keep a diary)
i started on the 6/5/10
8/5/10
ammonia- 0.25
nitrite- 0
nitrate- 0
ph- 7.6
high range ph- 8.0
10/5/10
ammonia- 0.50
nitrite- 0
nitrate- 0
ph- 7.6
high range ph- 8.0
today
12/5/10
ammonia- 1.0
nitrite- 0.25
nitrate- 5.0
ph- 7.6
high range ph- 8.0
so all going well.i live in a very hard water area so thats why my ph is a little high.i will buy some peat for my filter to lower it a little.i dont like to use ph down or anything like that.i might buy some bogwood too.
