Hi to everyone nice to meet you all, Nice looking site, easy to navigate clean and neat. hats off to owner! :good:

Started a 60L fish tank on the 18th July 2012, with no experience or knowledge so its a big learning curve. So far i believe i have done everything right and after eight days of running cleaning treating i have 5 danio fish as i was told these are the best hardiest starter fish you can get. hope to get a few golden mollies after another week or so.

First question of maybe many its a 60 L tank and i dont want to many fish in it, am i right in thinking about 15 small fish like guppies and tetras is not over stocking?

I think its cruel to see over stocked tanks!

Good morning and welcome to the forum! :good: 15 fish might be a little much, depending on what kinds you plan on keeping. Sounds like you are using the 1 inch of fish per gallon rule. Just remember to use the adult size of the fish. This rule doesn't work with large bodied fish or messy fish like oscars. You wouldn't want to keep a 10" oscar in a 15 gallon tank.

thanks colleen0309, that just blew the local pet shop out the water he said upto 25 would be ok. No definatley smaller fish breeds, just like these lepord and zibra danio's. Not sure how big these can grow but i was aiming for about 10 to 12 total fish. for a while anyways.
