Hi everyone, my name is Nylah and I am returning to the forum. Some of you may remember me from the livebearers section. It seems like I have been away forever. I went through a very low point, I neglected my tank, I was ready to give up. Now many fish and 2 house moves later I am back.
I still have the same 64L tank but my landlady who I advised to join this forum is giving me her 3 1/2 ft tank.
Hi to those of you I spoke to on a daily basis, to new members too and everyone else! I look forward to becoming part of the forum again.
Thankyou
Nylah x

Hiya, welcome back.

Thanks

Nice tank - good to have you back.

Glad to hear things are working out, and welcome back.

Thanks, I have had disaster after disaster, the tanks been established for a year and a half but I woke up yesterday all my fish were dead. I couldn't believe it. Stats were all perfect. I started to take all the water out, I was going to get rid of it when I noticed movement-a single female guppy and her 10 fry. Then the tiny otto appeared and finally an albino cory. That's all that was left. I proceeded to do a 90% water change and they all survived the night, waters still fine and babies have gotten bigger. There's still hope :)

My apologies, I thought from your first post you were through the hardships and back on track?  Sorry to hear of your struggles.  I can relate.  Disaster hit my saltwater tank and I nearly lost everything.  I'm still struggling with a few issues, so I know what it's like to hit 'rock bottom'.  Best of luck moving forward

Sorry to hear about your issues-it's very defeating after all the time and effort.
I meant these babies are the reason I am moving forward-if they hadn't been there, I would have binned the tank. I was at the end of my tether.
This is the tank now in it's sorry looking state, it's actually embarrassing. I trimmed back all the plants and separated them, ordered a new bulb since it blew and cleaned the filter.

the babies

There's no point adding anything else to this tank until I get my new one which will be in a week or 2, once the new carpet is laid in my flat.
My landlady has 3 fishtanks, her cories are constantly laying eggs, they are in the nursery and when they hatch, and are big enough I will be getting some.
I can't wait to get this bigger tank, I will finally have the space to be able to scape it the way I want!

Welcome back!

Hi, welcome back, look forward to seeing pics of your new tank set up :D

Nice to have an obliging land lady with tanks too I imagine :D

Thanks everyone, it's good to be back! First thing I did was update my guppy fry journal think we're upto page 28 now!

Shelster-she often says we're separated at birth as we are both passionate about our tanks! She is replacing her 3 ft one with a 6ft one - I can't wait to see it all done!
She is also giving me black sand which I have been after for a while. I am so excited to begin another tank and will document it every step of the way in the journals section!

Hello :) Sorry to hear of your luck, here's hoping for better luck now! New tank sounds good, get some pics up.
