I love my african ciclids, however I do not love algae. I have tried the suckerfish, can't spell their name. No luck not sure if its the ph or the ciclids tried to eat it.

Welcome to the forum Hugapug.
If you don't have any plants in your tank, most African tanks don't, you could simply cut back the time the lights are on each day and the algae should die back some.
Do you also keep a pug?
