pangasuise is only 4 inches and grew 2 in six months, upgrading to a 6 ft for him and the bichirs onces their all big enough , bichir dont bother my bns, gourami, pan or the mollies and my turtles have been with fish since they hatches and never attecked anything theyre about 3yrs old now and had them with large plecos so theve never wanted to attack any fish so its all good my tank has enought hiding spaces for all the fish to feel safe, loads of small nooks and crannysNinjouzata said:to TFF! Hope you enjoy it here~
I hope those aren't all in the same tank and that you have a very huge tank for the pangasius..
my albino likes coming to the glass when i feed him bonleess chicken or lamb but my grey one (the older one) darts behind rocks so i can never snap shots of himNinjouzata said:That's fine and dandy but you do realize the pangasius will need a minimum of a 15ftx6ftx6ft?
They really should not even be in this hobby. If you can provide what they need though then by all means have at it!
Your mollies will likely be eaten by the bichirs eventually but you said they're feeders so I suppose you wont mind. The gourami may get eaten some day as well. Generally if it fits..it's nom noms.
Will you be getting more bichirs when you upgrade? I'm sure they'll love the 6ft and most of the upperjaws would be fine in that size tank (except for ornate, teugelsi, and maybe weeksi).
Do you have any pictures of the senegals?
honestly i was gonna have it as a planted tank so i was gonna use florite* (not sure the spelling) then a thick layer of sand , loads of ocean rock in the background so they can go behind them if they dont wanna be seen and a few diffrent hiding holes along the edges of the tank, what other fish would work we in the mid and top areas of the tank, i was thinking a giant gourami but i want a few other ish that will go well, no chiclids or oscars thoughNinjouzata said:Funny how different they can be! And they are so cute
I think the two sens, del, and two ropes will be enough on the bottom but if I had to add anything it'd be a palmas buettikoferi.
Is the new tank going to have sand? I'm just worried 'cause they can swallow gravel.
i mix it up, i added river shrimp, tubifex, beef hear, , seabass, algae wafers, freeze dried shrimp, shrimp pellets, maggots , boneless chicken, lambsawickib said:O also, do you only feed chicken and lamb? Thats not exactly the best diet for them. Id recommend cut prawns/shrimp, fresh caught fish or frozen fish doesnt really matter, earthworms, mealworms (not to babies, and only as a snack, babies can choke and die on these), bloodworms, brine shrimp, tubifex worms, wax worms, and most likely as a staple a high quality sinking pellet food from, new life spectrum or hikari. Doesnt need to be brand name, just high quaility and packed with proper nutrients for them to thrive.
