Just testing my avatar and saying hello. I am fairly new to fish and snails. Have had a betta and apple snail since May 2010. I recently acquired some pond snails, physa and lymnaeidae, from some plants I bought. I know most view them as pests, but I thought they were pretty so I decided to give them their own tank and let them be. They are as fun to watch as my apple snail. Hope to learn more about all wet pets and aquarium plants.

Welcome to the forum SnailGirl. I also tend to have lots of the common pond snails in my tanks. They make great fish food and do a decent job of cleaning algae in my tanks. When they breed out of control I simply sell them at club auctions to people who want them. I never ask what they want them for but I know loaches need to eat too.
