a big welcome to you as well new member you will love it on here its excellent ;)

SamB: I note that you keep ...Clyde ;) I dont suppose you would know if he is compatible with apistogramma??

It's only a 60 ltr tank though and am debating if they are too territorial to be happy together

Thanks Karen.

Oh hello,

im new to and my partner recently purchased a pair of kribs, they are interetsing to watch his have paired off and are preparing to spawn :) i could watch them for hours, im tempted to get a pair myself but am also considering Rams.

How many do you have?

Anyway Nice to meet you. Would love to see some nice photos of your tank and kribs :)

Hi mollydolly I only have the 2 kribs and the 6 BABIES!!!!! YAY!!!! I didnt think there were any left but she had moved them into a pot as, surprisingly she had laid them on the back wall of the tank out in the open near enough except for 1 plant. Anyway in the back I can see at least 6 little wrigglers hopefully there are more hiding in there but wll know more when they become free wimming.

I dont have any rams as yet but was interested in some red/gold microgephagus I have seen but I really want to keep apstogrammas they are sooo beautiful.

Once I work out how to hook my phone and camera upto this comp the photos will flow  and ou will be sick of hearing of my 6 BABIES

heya meandmykribs - yep, it used to be Bonnie and Clyde... and then Bonnie went bad very quickly and in the space of 8 hours went from displaying mating colors to belly up :( I am still unsure as to whether clyde had a hand in this or not.. :/

^^Clyde being Clyde.

As many people will tell you, blue rams such as Clyde (she is a female, more colorful in real life..) can be very hard to keep based on their distance from wild fish. They seem to be very hit or miss, and many people will try to dissuade you from purchasing them in favor of hardier rams such as bolivian rams. I have had good luck with clyde, but like I said, I lost Bonnie to either clyde or random Ram death..

I don't have any experience with the other type of cichlid but that is a STUNNING looking fish.. from what I read just now in research they can be a bit hard to take care of. I wouldn't do rams and him.

aww SamB she is gorgeous.

Very sorry to hear about Bonnie :(

The apistogramma is hard work to keep but I really would like to try so going to give it a shot I think.
 Thanks Karen. ;)

Excited to see pictures :) Would recommend asking advice in the New World Cichlid section regarding apistogramma before purchasing to get the best odds of success! :D
