Hello all

First post and first visit, now I found you I will be on more often, great forum and so much info it will prove useful when I set my Marine tank up. I already have a Tropical setup and my pride and joy are my 12" Pleco and my Oscars, I have also recently purchased two Convicts and they have been a joy to watch especialy when they laid eggs and were defending them with their lives, my Oscars even stayed away although they did try once to get to the eggs but were beaten off.

Anyway I hope to speak to you soon.

What tanks size do you have?, im sure the oscar fans here would love to see some pics

It's a 6ft x 2ft x 2ft and I am soon to try out the 60 Bio orb with Marine conversion kit, the 6ft tank is a little small in height for the plec but I am too attached to pass him on with someone who has a bigger tank. I will take some pics soon.

DO NOT DO IT!!! it is the crappiest kit on the market!!! they supply you with the worst salt available, and the filtration IS nOT suitable! do some research first, and DO NOT BUY THIS KIT...IT IS TERRIBLE

a biorb is NOT suitable for marine fish

Thanks for that I will do some reaserch on them, have you any suggestions on a small tank suitable for Marine, I don't want to buy a big tank as I am new to Marine setups and while I am learning I thought a small tank would be a good learning tool
