Hi all- nice forum here by the looks of it

i got a nagging concern- i have my tank all up and running 9 weeks or so- levels all spot on etc

bought 5 tetras the other day- they seem to stay at the back of the tank a lot- anybody any suggestions?

this is the planted area of my tank. They feeding fine etc.

regards

dominic

they are i think xray tetra- they apear with a yellow and blue tinge to the fins

got to give them time to settle in :good: what other fish do you have? what tetras do you have?
prob find they feel safe within reach of hiding<arr the big scary nets gonna take us away again

tetras are normally shy for a few days even a few weeks i have found, give them time and they'll come out when they feel safe, anyother fish in there?

yeh theres 2 loaches(Ant n dec) dont ask being a geordie the missus named them, and also pucker the catfish, the missus also named the gang of tetras girls aloud!!!

appologies for that!! slightly off topic i know- they all tend to hang around at the back of the tank- i am assuming cause its near heater- temp is 27-

soon as i move near the tank they shoot to the back!! i havent got anywhere for them to hide under etc yet- was kinda enjopying seeing my few fish

give them are few weeks even months<tetras are nervous fish unlike oscars
they need places to hide to feel safe maybe a nice largeish peice of bogwood would work well a few rocks/slate
youll find they will be out more if they have the option of hiding

think ill try that- get it from the local fishshop?

only been keeping the fish 9 weeks or so but im hooked

really want a bigger tank- tank is small- 48l- i have a cpl of artifical plants in and a cpl of rocks

well i got 100- cough 150(the missus aint reading this) to spend any suggestions?
