Hi, 15 gallon reef questions for begginer.

Hi, if you think I am posting to many threads than plz tell me. As you all know I just bought my biggest tank yet. A 15 gallon. I'm gonna put live corals in.

Questions to be answered:

Can I put 2 clownfish, 1 yellow clown goby and 2 hermit crabs in a live coral 15 gallon.

Should I buy baby clownfish or fully grown clownfish.

Do you need to cycle a spanking new fish tank wich has never been used.

What substrate should I use for the coral.

Other 15 gallon tank mate suggestions I could get instead of the hermit crabs and goby.

I dont know much about saltwater tanks, but ive done a bit of research and clownfish usually need about 20 gallons. Im sure you could keep them all in one tank if it was properly scaped and well maintained, but i think you would be pushing it, so dont overdo it with tankmates and increase the bioload. I can say for certain that you need to cycle the tank, the only time I wouldn’t cycle a tank is in an emergency.
