Hey Guys Need Help With Cleaning Out

hey peeps, ill go straight to the point. i normaly clean my tank out about once a week and the tank stays nice and clean with no problems, but ive just come back from just under 2 weeks away and the tanks a mess ive changed water and cleaned as low as i can, but the tank has a carpet of grass so now for the problem. everytime i put the gravel cleaner near the nice grassy carpet it uproots it all and i dont want to have to keep replanting the plants so does anyone else have this problem what did u do??

What size tank do you have and what fish do you have in there?

I don`t know of many people that would go so far as to take so much water out on a weekly basis for a water change and clean to be honest, unless their tank is very overstocked and gets really minging very quickly

no only took out about half the water. but the fish have been a little over fed and there is bits of food and stuff stuck in the grass but cant get it out as everyime i try all the grass stuff gets uprooted. ive got an aqua one 620 tank 90 litres with 3 koi swordtails and a group of leopard endlers and a group of regular endlers

try having a large bucket on the floor , and syphoning water from the tank to the bucket with a length of hosepipe . hover the hosepipe just above the plants and with practice you should find that the poop etc gets sucked up leaving the plants in place .
